What should you do if you are scammed?

Were you Scammed?

Take a second and think about what may have just happened. This is a very important step. What did happen? Are you sure you were scammed? This might seem to be the dumbest question but in our opinion it should be asked. All of us see things differently. How many times with work or family has something happened that was completely misunderstood by others? Women write to many men because it is the wise thing to do. Whether they will admit it to you or not. It is because many men write; proclaim their love and two months later stop writing at all. According to a 1998 report to the US INS only about 4% of all the women posting on the Internet actually marry and move to the US. We imagine other countries share similar numbers or lower. So the women do what is best and write to others and learn about them too. Sometimes a woman is writing to several men and decides to stop writing to others because she has found her love and maybe it is not you. Don't think that your gifts sent to her or time invested means you were scammed. In love and life these stories play out every day. So while the chances are if you think you were scammed you were, step back and try to re-evaluate your situation. Once you proclaim her a scammer you could effectively eliminate her chances of finding love abroad. Good if she is a scammer, terrible for her if there was a misunderstanding.

Contact us!

Contact us! Send us all information you can about her and your situation. Select our Submit your Scam link and complete the information. We do require some minimum information for every submission so please review our form and be as complete as you can with your information.

Contact the Agency you found her on.

Contact the agency itself and report her. Reputable agencies will make sure that any woman that receives repeated complaints is removed from their listings. Be clear about what happened and that you hope she will be removed. Realize that one complaint is not always enough. It is hard to accept, but they do need some validation and the only way they have this is by receiving valid complaints from multiple customers. They, the good agencies, do everything they can and even at one complaint should begin to observe her more closely. It does them no good and only hurts them if these women are with their site. Of course if somehow the agency is involved this notification will fall on deaf ears. If you use MS Outlook, Lotus, Endura or any email program that has a calendar function set yourself a weekly reminder to follow up with them. We regret the the number of agencies taking a very aggressive stance against scammers is very low but with your pressure and ours that will change.
