Dear Saul,
I am a single white American, 55 yrs. of age. I met this beautiful girl on the aol. personnels in September of 2000, and have visited her 4 times in her country of the Ukraine. She lives in Sevastopol, Ukraine. At one time during the course of our relationship we met in Istanbul, Turkey for a week of vacation. This relationship lasted about 1 year and 3 months.
She has a very different style from the ordinary. I had already petitioned her for a K-1 visa, and it was already approved, and she was just about to go for her interview in Warsaw, Poland, when after I returned from my 4th visit, I discovered that she was writing to many other men on the internet, and I found her on numerous internet web-sites for Russian women, looking for marriage. I noticed that she will tell you that she cannot write to you very much since she has to pay for translations, and internet services. She will NEVER ask for MONEY!!, but when you go to visit her she will ask you to buy her many expensive items. (Jewelry, clothes, shoes, purses, make-up, things for her home, appliances) She will make you feel sorry for her, and also English lessons. (She speaks good English by the way) She states she wants to better her vocabulary. Before you know it she has cleaned you out. If you don't buy her what she wants, then her level of affection toward you will be less.

I had a background check done on her by a Russian lawyer, and found out all is correct except for one thing. She does not have a job. She states that she is an Engineer, and teaches Engineering at the University, but I check with the University also and they have never heard of her. She has a 6 year old son, that she says only speaks Russian, but she has him programmed not to speak English, He slipped a couple of times on the last visit when I was there. She stated she wanted to have children, and we had agreed to have more children, I thought she wanted to get pregnant, and I found all these vaginal suppositories for birth control.

She was on the following internet sites: Adorable Ladies, Athena International, Adult Singles, 100 brides a week, Russian True Love.com , Absolute Agency.com, and who knows where else. She goes by "Janette" or Zhanna.

I found out she was on a trip with this guy from Athens, Greece, during the time I was trying to get her visa to come to the states in July 2001. I found letters, and hotel reciepts, and more documentation you can imagine.

This women scammed me for over 10,000 US dollars over a period of 1 year, with trips, long distance calls, and sending money via Western Union. I never suspected it for one moment, except after everything I noticed that she had a pattern. If you don't give me money, you get no love. She was always very kind, but very self centered. After I confronted her about everything she never denied it, and was not upset that I was going to cancel her visa, and go my own way.
